We're looking for a QA Engineer with 1–2 years of hands-on experience to join our testing team. The candidate should be comfortable writing and maintaining automation scripts under guidance, with a solid grip on core Java and Selenium fundamentals, and a willingness to grow into API testing, CI/CD, and framework-level work.
1. Automation — Must Have
  • 1–2 years hands-on automation experience
  • Working knowledge of Java (OOPs, collections, exception handling)
  • Selenium WebDriver basics (locators, waits, actions)
  • TestNG basics (annotations, assertions, test suites)
  • Maven basics (running builds, managing dependencies)
  • Understanding of Page Object Model (can implement with guidance)
  • Exposure to an existing automation framework (not expected to build one solo)
  • Basic debugging of automation failures
  • Awareness of flaky test issues (handling with guidance)
Good to have: Selenium Grid exposure, Docker basics, parallel execution concepts
2. API Testing
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs
  • Hands-on with Postman for manual API testing
  • Exposure to Rest Assured or similar (writing simple GET/POST validations)
  • Ability to validate request/response structures
  • Basic understanding of authentication (API keys, tokens)
Good to have: API chaining exposure
3. Database
  • SQL basics — SELECT, WHERE, simple JOINs
  • Ability to write basic validation queries
  • Understanding of UI → DB validation concept
4. CI/CD
  • Basic Git usage (clone, commit, push, pull, branching)
  • Awareness of Jenkins (running existing jobs, checking build status)
  • Ability to execute Maven/TestNG suites locally
Good to have: Exposure to scheduled Jenkins runs, basic failure triage
5. Testing Knowledge
  • Ability to read and understand requirements/user stories
  • Test case design for functional scenarios
  • Execution of regression, smoke, and sanity test cycles
  • Bug reporting with clear reproduction steps
  • Solid grasp of manual functional testing
6. Performance & Security (Awareness Level)
  • Basic familiarity with JMeter or performance testing concepts (not mandatory)
  • Awareness of security testing basics (optional, not expected)
